The Dayle McIntosh Center is a Non-Profit Organization (501(c)(3). We are constantly seeking new members for our Board of Directors to expand our presence in the community.

Desired qualities include:

  • Commitment to improving Orange County for older adults and people with disabilities
  • Ability to move the organization forward with solid business judgment
  • Understanding of intersectionality, diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Initiative and follow through to ensure successful results
  • Ready for leadership opportunity and responsibilities
  • Represents the agency in a professional manner
  • Communicates effectively and transparently
  • Responsible, ethical, and accountable
  • Solutions and goal driven

Desired lived experiences:

  • Person with a disability, older adult or connection to these communities
  • Members of the d/Deaf, Blind or low-vision communities
  • Black, Indigenous and/or Person of Color (BIPOC)
  • LGBTQIA+

Desired professional or volunteer experiences:

  • Fundraising
  • Budgeting and financial comprehension
  • Attorney or legal background
  • Human resources

We are looking for individuals who are of good character, at least eighteen years old, and have demonstrated experience and leadership. It is important that they genuinely believe in and are dedicated to the organization’s philosophy, goals, vision, and purpose.

All applicants must be approved by the Board of Directors.
