What is DMC Circle of Support and How Can it Help
The Dayle McIntosh Center for the Disabled is Orange County’s only Independent Living Center for people with disabilities, older adults and Veterans. As an Independent Living Center we provide information, resources, services and programs to support the growing community in need.
When DMC started in 1977, the organization served 30 individuals in the first month of operation. Today, the Independent Living Center is serving more than 1,200 individuals which is growing exponentially. Due to population expansion geographically, the community acquiring disabilities through the aging process, and unexpected growth due to living with Long COVID which is recognized by the ADA as a disability, the organization returns to its roots of connection in reviving the community support program.
Many services DMC provides are free of charge to the public. Funding comes from government grants, contracts and fundraisers via donation. However, at a pivotal time in high-demand of services, and disability and aging population growth as OC’s only IL, it is donations from private contributions, corporate gifts, and individual donors which make a difference. Providing sustainable alternative funding is essential to support expansion where other funding falls short.
DMC Circle of Support provides individual levels of support and patronage which enable the organization to meet demands and growth objectives for other areas where mainstream funding falls short by having outside support.

- Impact: $300 per month can provide individualized housing assistance that helps one person with a disability move from instability to security
Business/Partner Sponsors OF DMC – Level Three

- Contribution Amount: $1,000/month or one-time annual payment of $11,500
