“When I first came to DMC, I could barely walk. Fortunately they knew exactly what to do. They customized a walker and 4-prong cane just for me—through their Recycle/Reuse Program—and taught me how to walk again. It’s been a long time since someone treated me like a princess. DMC not only did that but they gave me my independence back!”

“Vision loss is part of the aging process. As seniors, we got involved with DMC to learn about vision loss, acquire new skills, get visual aids and help one another cope. We did all that, enhanced our independence and found great friendships as well. We’re all grateful for all the support and tools DMC has given us.”

“I was at wits end before coming to DMC. Unemployed for 3 years, scared and my confidence gone, I desperately needed help. Thankfully I got it from Riki at DMC. She gave me focus, helped me create my personal jobs plan and gave me all the tools and support I needed to get a job. I got the first job I applied for and I couldn’t be happier.”
